2. Description of Services

Readuct UF provides an AI-driven platform for students which includes but is not limited to:

2.1 Core Services

• AI Flashcard Generator: Automatic generation of flashcards from uploaded documents
• Document Analysis: AI-driven analysis of study material
• Content Optimization: Improvement of study material through artificial intelligence
• User Management: Secure authentication and account management

2.2 Technical Infrastructure

Our services are powered by modern cloud technology including Supabase for data management, OpenAI for AI functionality, and Vercel for hosting and distribution.

2.3 Service Availability

We strive to keep our services available 24/7, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We reserve the right to temporarily suspend the service for maintenance or upgrades. We are not liable for interruptions caused by events beyond our control (force majeure) to the extent permitted by law.

2.4 Free Service

The service is currently free of charge. Any payment and subscription terms will be published and require your approval before payment is introduced. Since the service is provided free of charge, it is available "as is" without warranties.

3. User Rights and Responsibilities

3.1 Permitted Use

You may use our services for:

• Personal and educational purposes
• Creating and managing study material
• Generating AI-based content for studies
• Sharing content according to our guidelines

3.2 Prohibited Use

You may NOT:

• Use the service for illegal or harmful purposes
• Upload copyrighted material without permission
• Attempt to hack, bypass, or interfere with our security systems
• Create fake accounts or share login credentials
• Use automated scripts or bots without our express permission
• Distribute harmful content, spam, or viruses
• Violate other users' rights or privacy
• Use the service for cheating, plagiarism, or academic dishonesty
• Perform mass scraping or data mining without permission
• Attempt reverse engineering of our software
• Bypass access controls or usage restrictions
• Perform denial-of-service (DoS) attacks or similar

3.3 Account Security

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

4. Intellectual Property Rights

4.1 Your Content

You retain full ownership of all content you upload or create with our services. By using our services, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to:

• Process your content to provide our AI services
• Store and back up your content
• Display your content back to you via our services

4.2 Our Rights

Readuct UF's software, design, trademarks, and other content are protected by copyright, trademark laws, and other intellectual property rights. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our proprietary content without written permission.

4.3 AI-Generated Content

To the extent permitted by applicable law, rights to AI-generated content belong to you. We make no claims of ownership. You are responsible for reviewing content, using it lawfully, and ensuring it does not infringe third-party rights. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies and should not be used without verification.

5. AI Services and Limitations

5.1 AI Technology

Our AI services use advanced language models from OpenAI and other providers. AI-generated content is based on patterns in training data and may contain inaccuracies.

5.2 User Responsibility for AI Content

• You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated content
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content
• AI content should not be used for critical decisions without human review
• You are responsible for ensuring AI-generated content complies with applicable laws and regulations

5.3 Data Processing

When you use our AI services, your content is securely sent to our AI partners for processing. We adhere to strict data protection principles and do not share personal data with third parties without your consent, unless required by law or have another legal basis (e.g., contract or legitimate interest) to do so.

6. Limitation of Liability and Warranties

6.1 Service "As Is"

Our services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:

• The services will be error-free or uninterrupted
• AI-generated content will be accurate or suitable
• All security measures will be impenetrable
• The services will meet your specific needs

6.2 Limitation of Liability

The service is provided free of charge and "as is". To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited and we are not liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of data, profit, or business opportunities
• Interruptions or disturbances beyond our control
• Actions or omissions of third parties
• Damages caused by the use of AI-generated content

7. Termination

7.1 Account Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using account settings in our service. Upon termination, your data will be deleted according to our data retention policy.

7.2 Termination by Us

We reserve the right to terminate or limit your access to our services if:

• You violate these Terms of Service
• You use the services in a way that harms other users or our systems
• We must do so to comply with applicable laws
• We decide to discontinue the services

7.3 Effects of Termination and Data Export

After termination, you will lose access to your account and saved data. You can request an export of your content within 30 days of termination. Thereafter, deletion may occur according to our regular backup cycles. Deletion in backups occurs according to our regular rotation cycles; therefore, some delay may occur before data is permanently removed from all backup media.

Certain provisions of these terms will continue to apply after termination, including intellectual property rights and limitations of liability.

8. Changes to Terms

8.1 Right to Change

We reserve the right to change these terms at any time. For material changes, we will, when reasonable, provide advance notice via:

• Email to your registered address
• Clear notices on our website or in the app
• In-app notifications

8.2 Acceptance of Changes

Your continued use of the services after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the new terms. If you do not accept the changes, you should cease using our services.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

9.1 Swedish Law

These Terms of Service are interpreted and applied in accordance with Swedish law. Any disputes shall primarily be resolved through dialogue and negotiation.

9.2 Court and Jurisdiction

If disputes cannot be resolved through negotiation, they shall be settled by a Swedish court. Stockholm District Court shall be the first instance for disputes concerning these terms.

9.3 EU Regulations

For users within the EU, relevant EU regulations apply, including GDPR for data protection and consumer rights directives where applicable.

11. Miscellaneous

11.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service together with our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Readuct UF regarding the use of our services.

11.2 Severability

If any part of these terms is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts shall continue to apply in full force.

11.3 Language Version

These terms were originally written in Swedish. In case of conflict between language versions, the Swedish version shall prevail.
